USA Catholic’s Cross There are different types of crosses left by pilgrims

at the hill of crosses. These people come from various parts of the world but they travel to Lithuania to leave their crosses on the hill. A Catholic organization from the United States sent this silver and black cross to be placed on the hill. You will be surprised to see different crosses on the hill including gold crosses and wooden crosses in different sizes. There are even metal crosses with large images of Jesus on them. While no one can tell when the practice of leaving crosses on the hill started, pilgrims believe that it all started in 1831 after the uprising. The number of crosses have increased to thousands through the years.
