Cross made of red wood
This cross stands out among the hundreds of thousands of crosses on the hill of crosses. For one, the cross is made of red wood which is unlike the other plain brown or dark brown crosses surrounding it.
The chrystian cross is believed to be the centerpiece of the faith considering that Jesus dies on the cross to save humanity.
The pilgrim who left this red wooden cross also left hanging an interesting-looking brown rosary with large beads. A very small gold image of Jesus has been attached on the cross which is another interesting thing on this memorial. Christianity has not been easy for those who have lived in Lithuania and the hill of cross is a testament to their sacrifices.
